Fuzzball's Bad Ideas

This is a highly rejectable idea, but there once was a petsite that did this before it closed down, and I'd like to see it happen again. Somewhere.

What are your opinions on pet dating?

Here's another idea: Have a pet color for each planet.

I'll add more ideas as I come up with them. :3

Well... I don't really like the idea of pet dating, but the pet's can have babies >.> Pet dating just doesn't seem right. It's kind of like me saying, "Ok, my dog will date your dog. We can make a reservation at this restaurant and pick them up at, oh, maybe quarter to eight?" It just doesn't seem right...

As for the different, colors of pets for a planet, I'd say no to that too, since we're having a 'special' color for pets and when you breed them, they also become and vary in different colors.

But these are not my decisions. I only offer opinions

Well, I always saw virtual pet as having more of a personality and language than reality pets. But...just plain bredding sounds just as good. :3

xD I've noticed that too. But in Zerapia, we're making things...well, more believable. xD Like, not dressing pets up, or have them talking. o.o

I don't really like this. It just looks weird pet dating. I'm sorry but I say no to this.

Here's another idea:

What about selling, trading, or auctioning pets? You know, have a shop/trading post/auctioning house for them so people can't hack others.

or...

If we have pet's for pets (like Petpets, Nupits, Minions, ect), allow them to have more than one, limit maybe 3-5. Dumb idea but...some people may like it.

You will be able to sell pets on the site (even if I, personally, don't like the idea >.>).

As for the petpet idea, I'm not sure about that either. Again, as we have a more realistic aim, pets for pets isn't all that realistic, you know? Also, a petpet may look somewhat edible to a pet like the Avis <.<

I love the idea of selling pets.

I say no to the idea of petpets because, as they said, it's supposed to be more realistic.

I like selling pets because lots of people do this.

My New Idea:

Your pets can only breed with other people's pets. This way it wouldn't be as difficult to check pet selling for things like pet breeding just to sell.

I don't think that you should only be allowed to breed with other's pets, but you could have a choice. But then, there would be the problem of who gets the baby afterwards, am I right? There would also be people with pets that are rare/have high stats asking for outrageous prices for breeding with their pet and taking advantage of others, not to mention spamming, flaming annoying, harassing which is all agianst the site rules.

I think it'd be fair for the mother's owner to keep the baby. Or if it costs to breed, have one person pay and the person who pays keeps the baby. I dunno... >.<

So there'd be a benefit to breeding, right? Like if the pets can have different colors, a rare color can be passed on to the offspring?

@Soul, they both get one OR they decide beforehand.

I think only one baby per birth. Think about it. If someone created a second account and bred with their main account, then they'd have two pets and could just transfer the baby from their side to their main.

And, even though there's many honest people out there, we have to be worried about the few dishonest people. We can't leave it up the users to decide who gets the pet because, well, people cheat and scam.

I would suggest that the female always get the baby, but then that could also lead to scams O__O

So anyway we look at it there will be problems. We need to ind the solution which will have the least problems out of all of them. Anyone care to brainstorm a listor possibilities that we can go through and cross out etc.?

Well the female keeps baby problem is easily solved. People with males get to give a breeding price. Then each gender has its perks. Males earn money and females reproduce.
As for the only one baby with each birth, mabye you could make it a special item where users cold pay real money for, something that would make the females give birth to two babies, a twins potion or something.

Well, people can sell their pets, so the user with the female would be getting money anyways, so that's kind of unfair.
I've never really liked the idea of spending real money on a virtual item... It always seemed kind of unfair to me how the majority of users can't get those really cool items that others can get. On Ichumon, you can get waterballoons to change the colors of your box in the chatbox, and I don't mind that since the site obviously needs funding and it's not a necessity on te site for quite a lot of users who don't even use the chatbox x3 There's also the problem of which user would pay for the twin potion.

Mabye the user could collect something like gemstones or another currency that could also be bought?
