Can I have every ones opinion of the Harry Potter Books and if they think the films are better than the books.

Um... Okay @_@

I liked the Harry Potter books up until the last book. The ending completely ruined the ENTIRE series, in my opinion. I base a lot of my opinions on the ending. If the ending is good then it gets a satisfactory rating from me. If it sucks, then I just cringe. Especially since the end of the Harry Potter books was basically just "And they all lived happily ever after..."

All in all though, I think the books are better than the movies. I laugh at some of the acting xD

Others will most likely disagree with me. Go ahead, people. Let's get some debates started xD

lol same Soul... i liked the twist but like, him coming back to life was a bit O.O

no... so far everyone seems to be agreeing...

the ending... particularly the epilogue... just seemed like too many coincidences going right... I was all exited for a particularly awesome battle between Harry and Voldemort to end the book... I didn't quite get that though... but other than that the series was quite enjoyable...

there's my two cents...

yeah I thought the ending was pretty crummy x.x
And the movies are annoying, they keep cutting stuff out and it bugs me D=
I've actually started boycotting movies based on books though =P

oh don't get me started on the movies... *pukes* they make me sick after reading the books... there are a few movies that did allright by the books... but those movies are rather rare...

The best book was the fourth. It's the one when everything starts to get darker and less joyful. The climax was really good too and the ending wasn't one of those that everything goes right. Quite the opposite actually xD

To name a few other movies based on books that completely sucked from the top of my head...

Eregon was good... till the second book... and it started to seem like a starwars rip off... O_o... I know that's probably just me... but the story line just felt pathetically familiar... cliche even... and the movie... *takes 20 copies and starts shooting them with a shotgun* I think my point is pretty clear...

The mood in the second book of Eragon is so...different.
It's more like...WAR, while the first is...calmer. =)

As for Harry Potter, I didn't like how Hermoine, Ron, AND Harry are alive. ;-; Shouldn't one of the more mainer characters die? It's too...cliche.
And Harry coming back to life is too like...not Harry Potter. ;-;

The ending just isn't good.
I started to not like Harry Potter AS much from the fifth book up. It's all so serious after. o.o
The third book was my fav. <3 Then it's the forth, first, second, fifth, sixth, and seventh (just because of the ending).

The unfortunate events series, the books I mean, ended horribly. ;-; They didn't answer ANY of the questions that everyone's curious about. WHAT WAS IN THE SUGAR BOWL? WHAT WAS THE QUESTION MARK THING? ;-; It's like the author took the easy way out. Letting the siblings sail off.

I actually like Eragon...The movie was ok I guess, but it was so...different. Aya should look more elfy. ;-;

I guess if I hadn't read the Eragon books the movie might have been... okay. I mean the special effects were pretty good. The worst characters in the movie were the shade guy and Arya. I mean, who wears a SKIRT when you're transporting one of the last dragon eggs in the world? xD And in the book, Arya was supposed to have black hair... and she wore pants. >.> I actually really like the book series even though it is cliched. I'm just wondering how they're going to make Eldest into a movie because of all the parts they missed and added in the first one.

I didn't notice that in the movie... O_o... I must have started ignoring it earlier than I though... rofl... but I'm sure they'll find some way to make if work if they're stupid enough to attempt it...

I don't think they will. No one liked Eragon so they'd probably lose money making it xD

Yeah the Eragon book film was quite rubish, I have to admit, I don't think they are going to make a 2'nd one as the first one didn't make enough money.

Isn't there meant to be A third book?

Yes. A third book should be coming out but it's been over two years I believe since the last one came out so I'm pretty sure many people have forgotten about the series xD

I think the films are better. Cause it's all over quicker and you can see it all, how the magic is done and everything, but, I can't say no to the books either.
